Information You Choose to Send
Search Terms
When a visitor types a name, county, or other lookup detail into a search tool, that query is sent to the outside provider that operates the tool. This site does not keep its own copy of those search terms or maintain a Marion County jail-record database.
Messages
If you email us or submit a contact message, the information in that message may be retained long enough to review it and respond. We do not share those messages outside our organization unless a valid legal requirement makes disclosure necessary.
Technical Data Collected During Visits
Routine server, analytics, and advertising systems may collect basic technical details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- Referring website, when one is passed by the browser
- Date and time stamps for site activity
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools help measure site use, remember basic preferences, and support ads. Most browsers can block or delete cookies, although some analytics, advertising, or partner-search features may work differently after cookies are limited.
How Information Is Used
- To keep the site available, usable, and reasonably fast
- To send search requests to the correct outside search partner
- To understand which Marion County custody and court-record pages visitors use
- To detect broken pages, errors, and other technical problems
- To display advertising that may be based on general visitor interests
Outside Websites and Public Agencies
Pages may link to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, the official county roster channel, Texas SAVNS/VINELink, the TDCJ inmate locator, federal BOP and ICE locators, court resources, and third-party search services. Once you leave this site, the destination site's own privacy policy and data practices apply.
Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs many public-information requests made to Texas governmental bodies, including local offices that may hold booking or jail records. That public-records law does not make this private site the custodian of Marion County records.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure or personalize ads across websites. Their tracking, opt-out tools, and retention rules are controlled by those partners, not by this site.
Who May Receive Information
We do not sell personal messages or contact details. Information may be available to these limited categories of recipients:
- Search partners that process submitted lookup queries
- Analytics providers that help measure site performance
- Advertising networks used to support the site
- Law enforcement, courts, or government bodies when required by subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process
Security Practices
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for the information handled through this site. No internet-connected service can be guaranteed breach-proof, so security is handled as a best-effort process rather than an absolute promise.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information through this site, a parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion.
Your Data Choices
- Ask for a copy of personal information we may hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate contact information
- Request deletion of information we are not required to keep
- Opt out of certain processing where an opt-out right applies
